What we Offer

Established by Philip Parsons in 1996, Parsons Consulting Group has completed integrated planning projects for Harvard University, Wesleyan University, Mount Holyoke College and Nichols College. Current clients include Amherst College, Brown University, Mount Holyoke College, Northfield Mount Hermon and Milton Academy.

Our integrated plans include comprehensive master plans, sophisticated space use analyses, needs assessments, landscape assessments, fundraising strategies, and management suggestions. Our emphasis is always on ensuring that all planning directly supports the core academic mission of the institution.

Parsons Consulting Group teams as necessary with distinguished architects, landscape architects, financial analysts and other consultants. Unlike traditional architectural and master planning firms, we assume that transformation is in your future, but not necessarily a costly new building program.

Our Philosophy

Our goal is to help institutions achieve change with clarity, energy and vision. As we understand planning, facilities, finances, fundraising and educational programs are inseparable. Parsons Consulting Group brings an unusual multidisciplinary approach to planning, and emphasizes the interplay between these four areas. We combine design sensitivity, extensive management experience, rigorous analytical approaches and awareness of social and intellectual issues to produce plans that refocus institutional identity in a practical and realistic framework.

Philip Parsons founded PCG after twenty-five years in educational planning, most recently as the Associate Dean for Planning in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. He also has broad experience in curriculum planning, financial management and fundraising.
